TagDial ("the App") is developed and provided by an independent developer ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in compliance with applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other relevant regulations.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App collects limited personal information to provide its core functionality (e.g., tagging calls and displaying contact details during calls). All data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to any servers or third parties.
Types of Data Collected:
We do not collect sensitive personal data (e.g., racial/ethnic origins, health data, or biometric information) unless explicitly provided by you in tags, in which case it is stored locally only.
How We Collect Data:
Under GDPR, our lawful basis for processing is your consent (via app permissions) and legitimate interests (providing the App's functionality). We minimize data collection to what's necessary.
We use the collected information solely to:
We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond the App's functionality. Data is not sold, rented, or shared.
No Sharing with Third Parties: The App does not share, transfer, or disclose your data to any third parties, servers, or external entities. All data remains on your device.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or government request, but only to the extent necessary.
Business Transfers: If the App is involved in a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as part of that process, but we will notify you beforehand.
Local Storage: All data is stored locally on your device using secure Android mechanisms (e.g., SharedPreferences). We do not use cloud storage or remote servers.
Security Measures: We implement reasonable security practices to protect data from unauthorized access, such as encryption where applicable. However, no method is 100% secure.
Retention: Data is retained only as long as necessary for the App's functionality or until you delete it/uninstall the App. You can clear tagged calls via the App's interface.
You have control over your data:
GDPR Rights (for EU Users): If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. We process data based on consent or legitimate interests; you can withdraw consent anytime.
CCPA/CPRA Rights (for California Users): You have rights to know, delete, and opt-out of data sales (we do not sell data). Non-discrimination applies.
Complaints: EU users can lodge complaints with their data protection authority (e.g., via edpb.europa.eu).

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it. Parents/guardians should supervise device usage.
As data is stored locally on your device, no international transfers occur. If future updates involve transfers, we will ensure compliance with GDPR safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in practices or regulations. We will notify you via the App or email (if provided) before changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Check this page periodically for updates.
While we take reasonable steps to secure data, you acknowledge that data is stored locally on your device, and you are responsible for maintaining device security (e.g., using passwords, avoiding unauthorized access). We disclaim all liability for any data breaches, losses, or damages arising from factors beyond our control, such as device theft, malware, or user error. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to data privacy. This limitation applies regardless of any data leak or unauthorized access.
